If you were refreshing a screen at 9am on October 4 and ended up empty-handed, you’re in good company. Glastonbury 2027 tickets sold out in under 45 minutes, and thousands of people are now wondering whether they’ve missed their shot.

Not quite. Organisers have confirmed that cancelled and returned tickets will go back on sale in spring 2027. There’s no exact date yet, but it’s the one confirmed way in, and it rewards people who get their paperwork sorted early. Registration is compulsory, tickets carry your photo, and resale purchases have to be paid for in full.

Here’s what’s been officially announced, what’s still up in the air, and how to get ready.

The Basics Dates, Venue and Price

The festival runs from June 23 to 27, 2027 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset. It’s coming back after a planned fallow year in 2026, when nothing took place.

Yes, It Really Is Sold Out

Both the coach-ticket sale on October 1 and the general admission sale on October 4 are done. The general sale opened at 9am British Summer Time and was gone before 9:45am, according to ITV News and RTÉ.

That speed tells you something. Plenty of people had registered and were ready to go, and there still weren’t enough tickets. Registering gets you into the queue, but it doesn’t guarantee anything.

Still, a sell-out doesn’t mean every ticket gets used. Some buyers will cancel, and others won’t pay their balance on time. Those tickets flow back into the system, and the festival has confirmed they’ll be offered again in spring 2027.

When Is the Resale?

Nobody outside the festival knows yet. The official line is simply “spring 2027.”

You’ll probably see dates floating around on social media or ticket sites that look like they know better. Ignore them until Glastonbury publishes its own timetable. The official website is your best source for registration deadlines ticket categories and how the sale will work.

Getting Ready

Check your registration now, not the night before the sale. Everyone aged 13 or older on the opening day of the festival needs an individual registration, and it includes a photo that’s used to identify the ticket holder.

Going with friends or family? Booking arrangements may let you buy several tickets in one transaction, but each person still has to meet the registration requirements. Don’t assume someone else has sorted theirs.

And have the money ready. Official guidance says resale tickets bought after April 8, 2027, must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Don’t count on a second deposit option appearing.

What Tickets Cost

A standard five-day general admission ticket is £408, which includes a £5 booking fee. Postage and packing adds £11.25 per order of up to six tickets.

During the October sales, the festival let people put down a £100 deposit per person. If that’s you, the remaining £308 plus any delivery charges is due in the balance payment window, which runs from April 1 to April 7, 2027. Miss it and you risk losing your booking. The festival’s terms say a £25 administration charge is kept from deposits when the balance goes unpaid.

What You Get for the Money

The ticket covers the full five days, camping and access to performances across the site. The festival advertises more than 4,000 performances across over 100 stages though the final 2027 programme will be announced separately.

General admission also covers things like the official programme, the mobile app and selected family activities. Getting to Somerset, buying camping gear, eating and every other personal expense are on top.

Where to Buy

See Tickets is Glastonbury’s exclusive authorised seller, and the official site is https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/.

Tickets are personalised with the registered holder’s photo, ID gets checked on arrival, and you can’t transfer a ticket to someone else. Keep that in mind if a stranger offers you one. A ticket showing another person’s face can’t just be switched into your name, and listings on unauthorised resale marketplaces may not get you in at all.

The safest route is the festival’s own resale process. If a seller offers to get around registration, walk away.

Who’s Playing?

The full lineup hasn’t been announced. Emily Eavis confirmed in August 2026 that all three Pyramid Stage headliners had been booked, but she kept the names to herself. She also ruled out Madonna, despite the speculation.

Other big names have been tossed around in entertainment coverage and online chatter, but rumour isn’t confirmation. Be wary of festival posters and social graphics showing acts that haven’t been announced. Until Glastonbury publishes its programme, any “confirmed lineup” is guesswork.

There’s no official date for the full lineup reveal either. The festival usually releases performer information in stages as the event gets closer so follow the official website and verified channels rather than predictions.

Where Is Glastonbury Exactly?

Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset in southwest England. Despite the name, the site isn’t in the middle of Glastonbury town, and first-timers who mix this up can make a mess of their transport and accommodation plans.

The site itself is huge, with multiple performance areas, camping fields, walking routes and facilities. Getting between stages can take a surprisingly long time, especially when it’s busy.

Getting There

You can combine trains, festival coaches, buses and private transport. The festival publishes official guidance on reaching the site, including coach travel and advice for drivers. If you’re flying in from abroad, factor in the onward journey from your arrival airport to Somerset. Book a hotel or flight without checking that leg and you could end up with a very awkward trip.

Camping and Accommodation

Most people camp on site, since camping access comes with the ticket. You’ll need proper equipment and a plan for changing weather.

There may be other accommodation nearby, but check availability and transport carefully. A hotel close to the festival doesn’t mean you’ll have an easy daily route in.

A Note for International Visitors

Your ticket is only part of the bill. Check passport requirements, UK entry permission and transport using official government information before you travel.

Flights and accommodation can get pricey when they land on top of major summer events. Until you actually have a ticket, it makes sense to steer clear of non-refundable bookings. And if you already hold one, make sure your name and registration details match what the festival requires.

Quick Answers

When is Glastonbury 2027? Wednesday, June 23, to Sunday, June 27, 2027, at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Can I still get tickets? The original allocations have sold out. A resale of cancelled and returned tickets is confirmed for spring 2027.

When’s the resale? No exact date yet. Keep an eye on Glastonbury’s official website.

Can I buy without registering? No. Anyone aged 13 or older on the opening day needs an individual registration.

Can tickets be transferred? No. Standard tickets are personalised and non-transferable.

Who’s headlining? Three Pyramid Stage headliners are booked, but their names haven’t been officially revealed.

The Bottom Line

Glastonbury is back after a year off, and the October sell-out shows how much people want to be there. If you missed out, the spring resale is a real second chance, though nobody has said how many tickets will be available.

So keep it simple. Check your registration, know how the payment rules work, and watch for official announcements. There’s still plenty of time before June 23–27 to sort out travel and accommodation, but get the ticket first.

I can also save this as a file if you’d like one.
